997.1 Battery problem

Drifting
I purchased Duralast Platinum H7-AGM CCA 800, and replaced it myself. The engine starts now, but the ABS failure and TC failure warning are still there.
The vent hose of the car can fit the old battery, but can not fit the new one. How to deal with the vent tube in the car? Do I have to buy a kit to fit the new battery? or Just leave it without any taking care?
Please advise.
Best regards

However, the airbag warning light is still on. Is this normal, do I have to drive more to get rid of it or I have to go to shop to correct it?
Best regards,

SO it's time for me to change my battery and found this useful thread. One question I had is with this tube thing that needs to connect to the battery. Do these alternative non-OEM batteries all have a place where I can connect this tube?

^That vent tube is for the "wet" lead-acid batteries like the one that came on your car new. It allows for the battery acid / gasses to escape.
Don't buy a replacement lead-acid, but buy a "dry" cell AGM battery and you will not need to connect that tube. Multiple brands out there: Interstate, Deka, Bosch, East Penn.
Trust me I have own/owned 4 997GT cars and have replaced 3 of the batteries and 2 of them had minor acid leaks. Buy an equivalent AGM and be safe.

Ok so I ended up getting the interstate MTP-48/H6 battery. The odd thing is it has a vent tube connector but on the right side while my tubing is on the left. I thought AGM batteries don't need venting? On the left side there is some kind of hole there so I'm not sure if I can somehow plug the tube onto that side or not.

^Wrong battery...that's a wet cell.
You want MT5 not MTP.
I'm actually standard with MT5 across the board on all my cars. Specifically MT5-48H6.
I don't know how to post pix from my phone.

Hmm but this MTP one's been recommended a lot in this forum. The MT5 one looks to be over $100 more also.
