Default Tech question on side muffler delete

Throwing this out there because I am not entirely sure of the answer, but nonetheless...

Picked up an M&M exhaust system that deletes the side mufflers and uses their own center muffler with the pipes that run from the headers, direct to the center muffler. Which means the vacuum lines for the "sport" button do not have anything to attach to. Does one just secure the lines from flopping around/unplugged? Or do they need to be plugged for any reason?

Thanks all!

Plug the line and secure it. Did this when I had the Sharkwerks Track exhaust.

Exactly. Thread a small machine screw into the tube end and then bend it back upon itself and secure with a zip-tie.

Use a 4mm rubber cap on the left side and M6x12 bolt on the right side.

To make for a more somewhat elegant modification, I just capped the vacuum line right at the solenoid and then removed all the vacuum lines and plumbing....of course the weight of the assembly is insignificant but it looks cleaner.
Nice choice on the M+M ~ getting rid of all that weight and enormous heat sink that those side cans are two major upgrades and I like the sound as well ~ a nice baritone at idle and low rpm but a good wail at WOT above 6K or so.....

Every time you turn on the car, the vacuum is activated to close the Muffler's flap. When you press the sports button, the vacuum releases and the muffler's flap opens. With the regular muffler, if you unplug the line, the Muffler will be open all the time, same as if the Sports button was engaged (From the muffler's perspective only). I am not sure what happens to the system if you leave the vacuum line open/unplugged. I was concerned the system could keep trying to close the mufflers indefinitely and consequently damaging something, so I did the Screw/zip tie method already mentioned. If you plan to reuse the lines someday, try not to use a screw too thick in order not to enlarge the lines.
