Default HYTORC Group Buy

HI!
I'm organizing a Hytorc Lion Gun group buy for Porsche center lock.
Would like to know who is really interested.
Discount will depend on how many Hytorc are bought.
Payment will be done directly to the seller, who will ship the Hytorc Lion Gun.
If any question you can pm.
Thanks
Ricardo

I suspect it may be useful to list the potential discount possible based on the number of interested buyers.

Guys, I can tell you, it's worth whatever discount you get. I bought mine with a Black Friday discount in 2021. We spend $2K on a set of tires, $4K for brakes, countless $$$$ on other mods.....this tool will change how you look at your car. I find myself now swapping wheels side to side to get better tire wear. I service the car myself more frequently, and not requiring anybody to help is golden. Even my race shop uses it when they service my car, which saves me on labor time.

It puts real money back in your pocket. Sure the entry cost is high, but pays for itself over time for sure.

People could also consider a group buy on 5-lug conversion

The margin on these tools is not great. List price from Hytorc is about $5,500. Jaime from Dundon and I worked with Hytorc to bring this to market. We negotiated with them to get the price down as much as possible to $4,995, but we had to commit to buying 100 each. I think original retail price started out at $7500. We thought that was too much, so we got rid of some of the extra fluff. I've always wanted something like this tool. I remember there was some version from a different company that posted about a precision battery operated tool on the forum back in 2014, but it was projected to be about $13,000. I don't think it ever made it to market as I was on the beta list if it every did. I'm guessing you weren't aware of the effort that has gone into bringing this to market and the risk of having to buy a boatload committing to hundreds of thousands of dollars in purchase just to allow it to exist. There is no reason to do a group buy on this. You'd pay more with a discount than the price Dundon and I sell it.

Just did a story on the Hytorc for Jalopnik. Awesome tool, and if you're the kind of track rat swapping brakes or tires a dozen times a year, the ease, consistency and reduced potential for error or damage to the vehicle makes it worth it.

Exactly this. Hytorc approached Dundon quite a while ago with the CL nut idea and we told them to back off of that as the liability was too high. We played with it and pushed them to the reaction arm idea. Both to reduce costs and to reduce liability of a custom made CL Nut.

The fallacy with a group buy is that somehow the parts cost less when 3 or 5 guys buy them, versus 1 at time. For what it's worth Hytorc is having a hard time keeping up with the number tools we and Matt are selling now. So if you want one get in there and get them. Last order took them 3 weeks for us to get ours and we only have 2 left on the shelf as of today...

I just got mine and im super excited. As Mvez mentioned, it really changes the relationship with the car. I always felt pretty trapped with how labor intensive wheel swaps were but now with this tool I can swap between track and a low dust street pads as well as dedicated track wheels and also just simply nut and bolt checking the car before/after events.

To clarify, I bought mine from Dundon. I thought the OP was talking about a group buy with Dundon, not direct to Hytorc. Dundon already have it discounted, just buy it from them.

Do you still need a breaker bar for removal? I’ve used the most powerful lipo impact out there and unless I freshly put the CL on it doesn’t always work for getting them off.
