Default 997.2 gt3 or 991 carrera 2s

If you had to choose between a slightly used highly optioned 991 2s(burmester, full leather, keyless entry, etc) or a minimally optioned higher mileaged 997.2 gt3 which one would you get. After reading and watching all the 991 2s reviews it seems its just as good. Of course a gt3 is a gt3 and that's why I'm going back and forth. Both have their positives and negatives.....

A GT3 buyer never dreams of a C2S. A C2S buyer will dream about a GT3.

Yes. I made this mistake. Took loss on carrera and bought gt3. That said depends on use too. 991 is a really nice daily.

Gt3. Keep it stock and they are good cruisers. Will also feel more special than a 991 carrera due to that sound and steering feel. And should hold its value better too.

I agree the gt3 will definitely feel more special. I wonder how the sport exhaust on the 2s compares to the gt3. It sounds pretty wicked in the vids.

Not like a gt3 trust me had it. They are totally different cars. You should try to drive or drive in both and you'll see very quickly which you prefer.

Weekend car = GT3, you can afford the compromises it has.

I was with a guy yesterday who has had his 7 C2s a year and wants to sell it for something better.... like a gt3.

I can probably arrange a 07gt3 test drive. Unfortunately there are so few gt3s available. Will a .1 gt3 be drastically different from a .2 gt3.

On my last three cars I looked at a GT3 each time and passed. Three mistakes in a row.

The 991S is a very nice car but if you think you 'might' want a GT3 I'd get the GT3.

Gt3 either .1 or .2 would do as a weekend car! If you don't like it, sell and buy a c2S! There are literally 100's of vanilla Carreras to chose from! You won't lose much if any by selling the gt3.

Replace gt3 with C2S in above and the direct opposite applies!

I have GT3 (.2) and a GTS with the sport exhaust. It's not the exhaust that gives the GT3 it's sound. It is the engine. When the GT3 is above 4,000 rpm, everyone in the zip code smiles. The sport exhaust on the GTS sounds better than stock for sure (when driving next to my friend with Carrera S without it). But, not GT3 music. And, the GT3 steering feel and handling are really that good.

Quick Reply: 997.2 gt3 or 991 carrera 2s
