The other GT3RS picture thread seems to get a lot of great pic posts. Since this one gets a little neglected, thought I would hit it up...
.. (my wife & I are fans of the non-RS GT3's,... in all aspects. We are street tour drivers, prefer a painted wing without the non erector-set uprights, comfy sofa's, luxurious leather, NAV, deviated stitching, etc). So this pic thread is where we should live
Lately (last couple years), I've really been into blue's. Wanted to come back to James post # 885 & his Cobalt Blue Metallic on a .2. Was that a PTS back in 2010-11? or maybe a leftover "allowable" color choice from the .1's?
I love my Aqua Blue Metallic on my .2, and per PORS9 there were only 11 painted in 2010, and 4 more in '11,.. so not that many of them. There are also only a couple Cobalt Blue 964 Turbo's in 1994, and I loved the color from back then too.
James, you still watching this thread? ... Do you know how your .2 came to be CBM?And since this is a pic thread,... thought I'd throw up a new one just to keep it going...

I actually agree. I have had both. Still have the rs but there is something about the skinny body over all that rubber.
AutoWerks, Is that Ruby Red? (2nd generation of Ruby red I think, because the 964 Ruby is much different). Only 2 painted in North America?
That color is sooo close to Amaranth Red & Arena Red, that I really have to do a double take each time I see any of the generations that have any of these 3 colors.
A good friend has a 991.1 GT3 in Amaranth Red (only 4 painted). Beautiful color in person.

My car was guards red when it left the factory. It was disassembled by a previous owner and painted ruby red. I'm one of the few people who prefer to buy cars with stories, because I worry less about driving them. My 911 in the picture is also a car with a weird history, and is actually a carrera with 964 updates and a 3.6 swap.
New to me 2008 GT3.
After 3 years with the GT4 it was time for something different.
Car has 21k miles, heavily optioned - Full leather, Deviated stitching, lots of carbon, 18 ways, etc.

Congrats, Jon. So after some time in both the GT3 and GT4, which one do you prefer? Always interested to hear this opinion from someone that really likes both, has been in both, but has driven neither. Obviously GT3 engine is amazing, GT4 handling is perfect, but which would you take for which purposes?
