Are you sure Martin? ... not really much "gold" per se in them. I found this other thread, and they are showing rim paint code 539 for Weiss Gold, which seems to have a lot more gold than mine.

Can I ask what tail lights are on yours? ... or even what month your 2011 was built in?
the pic above seems to show the same tail lights as on my 2010. Did Porsche build some early 2011's, with leftover 2010 tail lights (that had the red surrounding the center-reverse-white portion)?? ... or was it an OPTION for the tail lights that have the top half silver & bottom half red? I prefer the ones on our car,... but just thought I would ask.

Thanks Steve I loved my 964. I sold it with a 73 RS replica to get the 07 GT3. I was actually drooling over your GT3 while waiting for mine to arrive.
My car was built in September of 2010. The tail lights have the red surround, I am not sure if it is was an option or not. I've only seen the silver upper with red lower on the white 2011's so far.
Auto_Werks 3.6, Sadly the decision was made for me as I destroyed my 07 in January. I actually wanted a .2 when I initially began to look, but I could not get the $$ to work. The 07 was a deal I could not pass, had some nice mods and was really good shape.
I like the body of the 997.2 over the 997.1, and I wanted axle lift. If I had not found a one I would have gladly purchased another .1

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully you have better luck with the new one. I bought my GT3 to autocross, and I enjoy doing occasional track days.... this car has been harder than the others I've owned to come to terms with the risk of writing it off. Oh well, you can't enjoy driving them when they're locked away in the garage!
