Looks like you have the kit that reduces the ramp drop. As pictured, it does not meet ANSI certification. In order to keep the certification, the ramps need to be fully dropped, which enables the top edge of the ramp to act as a brake for an elevated car. When fully dropped, there is no way for a car - even a low one like my Gallardo - to drive underneath the ramps.

storage = 4 post
maint = 2 post.
Since I am interested in maint, i am probably going to buy a bendpack XPR9 or Danmar maxjax.
good luck sorting it out.

I had a Harding Steel storage lift. I think the lift quality was good, but the installation was poor. I eventually got rid of it after my wife complained about it scaring her, esp. when carrying our baby. Hard to argue when the thing would clunk a lot. Never had a problem with it, though - and it did a great job keeping multiple cars in the garage...

Found these lifts the other day on Jay Leno Channel. Very cool design but its its alot of $$$$. Can be used on small cars or big trucks.
They also have the standard 2 post and 4 post lifts.

We've had great luck with our Rotary SPOA10 for over 4 years now that is primarily used for maintenance.
