Mike, thanks, this is the stuff I'm hoping to hear from you left coasters.
Yes that is interesting but I think doing both is a little much and I would miss out on 2 out of the 4 total days at Sonoma.
I don't care more about racing than DE, with racing there's always an ******* in your way LOL.

speed limit. 
I took the wife to 1 track day as she wanted to see speeds I drive...I drove so slow that everyone was passing me. Norcal guys (Mooty / 24CH / Mike / Chasen ) passed me like I was standing still... I told her "you see, i'm not crazy.. John is crazy not me " "i'm just here to be around cars" ... lol
forgot to add, now she thinks Mooty/Lar/Chasen are crazy and thinks im' "sane".

Also, I'd recommend doing Thunderhill on July 11th with NRCR and then with PCA GGR on July 12th & 13th as they will be running the new 5-mile configuration over those 3 days (California Speedway is boring anyhow is made for high HP cars).

Looks like Big Willow (2.5 mile course) has the open track day on May 7th and there is a test & tune day on May 23rd at Big Willow. Speed Ventures is doing Big Willow (2.5 mile course) on May 24th.

USC beat me to it. OTR does Big Willow on Weds. I think jack olsen drives his antique hot rod 911 on weds usually.

Right, ever since I was a passenger spinning backwards for a long time I don't do that any more.
I did not get hurt because we scrubbed a lot of speed and just glanced off the wall but it took a looooong time to hit the wall, long enough for me to turn around in my stock seat and seat belt to see where we were going and for me to decide I wasn't ever going to do that again! I still refuse to instruct in an unequal car.
