Funny thing is didn't care about scraping the tirewall but was freaking embarrassing try to get back into paddock so the grp can run more minutes. Turned in fk missed turning circle of car - ended up reversing back and reversing back into pregrid. And it's a chore with a full manual rack!!! Mike

That schedule is amazing Peter. Mooty will figure out your trailer situation.

Now... I need to get my car ready.

Not as Ambitious as Peter as I can't take that much time, but I can get the month of May for fun. Bringing da Civic Si TTD car not the GT3

85gold aka The Farmer LEFT COAST TRACK SCHEDULE

April 28 or 29 depart Florida for my Bucket List trip.

MAY 3/4 Sat/Sun Spring Mountain NASA TT

May 7 Wed Willow Springs Open Track Racing

May 9 Fri Thunderhill HOD then 350 miles to Buttonwillow overnight drive OR May 9 Fri Buttonwillow PCA Central Coast

May 10/11 Buttonwillow PCA GGR

May 13 Tuesday Portland, OR Beers with Steve Weiner

May 15 Thurs. Ridge MSP HOD

May 16/17 Fri/Sat Ridge MSP Turn 2 lapping

May 19 Mon Laguns Seca HOD

May 23 Fri Thunderhill Trackmasters and May 24/25 NASA TT

May 26/30 Tourist with wife flying out. Possibly May 27 Thunderhill with Golden Gate Lotus Club

May 31/June 1 Sears Point Speed Ventures

June 2 depart for FL with huge grin on my face.

I know NASA isn't the greatest but I need some NASA TT events to qualify for NASA Nationals this year and at least TT is gridded by lap times and open passing.

The one ? I have concerns Buttonwillow. I can do Sat/Sun with PCAGGR and the Friday before with PCA Central Coast or Friday at TH with HOD. Which is better more TH or BW as a track.

I can't do all of them, you are going for a month, I just fly in and out.
Hoping for the better tracks at least 2-4 days the lesser ones a day is fine.

I'm trying to find out the teneral consensus on what tracks are great, good, ok and bad.
Either way I want to try them all but I may have to choose and 1 day is not enough unless a short boring track.

Streets of willow might suck like PBIR, so 1 day is enough.
Driven about 20 tracks plus 6 laps at the ring so far, so adding 6-7 tracks to my list is cool!

For socal: people seem to like buttonwillow a little more than chuckwalla. chuckwalla is very new, somewhat technical, some speed, but no long straights, lots of sweepers, a couple somewhat technical spots. BW is more of that, but more speed, more variation.

Big willow is very fast, 9 turns, not technical, but stupid fast (just watch the video of jack olsen in his vintage 911 hot rod). Streets is a fun, small technical track. I think 1 day is good for either of these since you have all the others on your list. Some say chuckwalla is like a big streets (not a bad thing).

Big willow and streets are probably the least liked here between the 5 (big willow, streets of willow, button willow, chuckwalla, fontana).

For Fontana speedway with the roval/infield, you will have serious speed as you're using 1/2 the nascar track.

I'll guess many in Socal would rank the tracks like this:
buttonwillow > chuckwalla > streets of willow > fontana roval > big willow

The one not mentioned here is Thermal raceway which is a private track. Some local shops here do events there. I've not been, supposedly it's nice.

I've only got my schedule booked through May:
3/29-30 BMW CCA at Chuckwalla
4/12-13 NCRC at Buttonwillow
5/3-4 PCA SDR at Chuckwalla
5/10-11 PCA GGR at Buttonwillow (Reg opens 3/29)

May add something in there, but traveling a bunch for work right now making it tough to do more than 1-2 per month.

After that not sure, may do POC 5/31-6/1 at Fontana

Thanks, never heard of Fontana, where is it, maybe that can work as well.
Not worried about high speed, 4.0 is gone, the old 964 has no power :-)

Fontana = auto club speedway. Fontana, CA. It's actually the closest track to most of the LA Metro area.

http://www.autoclubspeedway.com/Gues...rack-Maps.aspx

The sports car track is usually called the Roval. POC used to run the infield track. 5/31-6/1 POC will be running the Roval.

So like Homestead and Daytona.

May31st-june1 I should go to Sonoma I think.
Only have 4 days total as Sonoma so far, 2 seems not enough..
