Were lighter weight internals used in the engine build to get it to rev like that? So amazing. It's like the flywheel is made of feathers.

We re-used the stock Porsche (Pankl) titanium connecting rods. The rods were reconditioned to our spec and the engine and flywheel balanced.

The early photos with the OEM exhaust were taken during engine removal and disassembly. After three systems the S Car Go headers were our final choice.

What an awesome build, Leh. I can personally attest to Autometrics' work as my 997.1 has an Autometrics 3.8 motor. It goes...nice work!

We tried two different M&M systems. Leh wanted to retain the awesome muffler he had built, so we needed an OEM type flange from the header. The first header wouldn't bolt to the muffler and I didn't like the configuration. The second system bolted up but was basically a cat bypass pipe, not a tuned header at all. It seems like something was lost in translation. Finally I contacted my friend Rob King at S-Car Go and he had Mark build me exactly what we needed. A well configured, equal length long (longish) tube header with the proper tube diameter and the correct muffler flanges. The headers are well made, fit well and make good power; perfect!

Adding carbon disc and spit blue flames to my task list...excellent work on the build! Two thumbs up on the interior and one vote for RS doors pulls as they just missed it on the MK1.
Thanks for posting and let her loose on the track!

Yea.. I have considered black pulls for the inside..

Just added a cup front lip and put the RS center "extra' lip on it.. turned out great!!.. Dont know if anyone noticed but also did GT2 rockers a lil while ago and love the way they look!

May do a gurney lip on the wing.. i dunno! Or fit the carbon under pane difuserl we run on the TUSC car!!

pilot sport cup 2 tires....

the list never ends!

some pics of the car after a lil wash today..

The RWB is my dads newest P car addition.. I managed the build for him..

Yes black on the pulls would be the way to go. Nice touch with the GT2 rockers and adding carbon fiber extensions from the inside fenders to the cup lip will provide a ton of additional front grip.

Been looking for a diffuser...are these offered by Champion? What are your thoughts on adding a diffuser to a .2 RS as I already have the rear gurney added to the wing.

What is the race history on your Dad's new addition? Must have been awesome managing the build!

managing builds is always challenging/trying, but hugely rewarding in the end when you get the mix right.
this froggy is done right. no doubt a credit to it's professional builders and the determined mind of it's owner.
i too, spent countless hours watching the original 'zkermit' video and just lapping up the way it revved.
