Default Torque spec-underbody panels???

Probably a little too late to ask as the damage is now done BUT do anyone of the guys who work on their own cars know if and what the torque spec is for the black 10mm plastic nuts that hold the underbody panels up??? Please don't say finger tight coz that failed lol...

I've had them on and off half a dozen times or so checking suspension etc but tonight when putting them on I must have over-tightened one and snapped the metal pin off at the base... I'm so dirty with myself! Not that the panel will fall off or anything but I can't believe I was so careless... I'll have to find out whats involved in getting another pin tacked on :/

i dont think theres even a torque value. I usually tighten them by hand and then turn it a 1/4 turn. I also use duck tape.

My mistake was using the 3/8 drive instead of the 1/4 drive... It provided too much leverage making picking the end point harder, especially at 1am in the morning...

Thanx mate!

Definitely should make the trip down soon. You'd love it....

On a brighter note regarding the snapped stud, spoke to my motorsport tech and he said it's all good. They have hack techs snap them from time to time (I guess I fall into the same category ) and they use a captive stud of some description to replace them so all good... Lost sleep for nothing...

I've got about 4 snapped off. I used to weld them to a washer and then weld that to the underside. No matter how careful I am, sometimes they snap off.
