Default anyone tried RoTtec seats?

I was looking for a pair of seats for my gt3..

gt2 bucket seats would be the best choice for me, but I'm wondering if anyone

has experience with RoTtec seats.

any thought/advice would be appreciated. thank you!

They are the Alibaba order-by-the-cargo-container seats... They have never been sled tested or undergone any other safety testing. I would be more than shocked if the only concern that went into their manufacturer was for their appearance.

A big +1Do not buy anything from these clowns.

Cheap knock offs manufactured in less than desirable geographic locations.

Buy what has been tested and been used by other track junkies and club racers.

Lots of choices out there. Every company has diff tiers of price points.

Strong suggestion if for track use: If you can't pickup the GT2 seats, get a set of Recaro or OMP or Sparco or Sabelt or whatever certified (FIA, whatever), high quality race seat. I have recaro pole positions with sabelt harnesses and really like them. And they are LIGHT. I wouldn't trust any of those ebay seats to an incident.

gt2 buckets are the way to go.

rotec are not an option.
They are a knock off company.

GT3 is too good of a car to use knock offs.
On track I would not want to see what happens to their seats in the event of an accident…

Mooty thanks for the input on Recaros.

Does anyone in the Bay Area have Profi SPG or XL that I could take a look at?

Want to try before sending Mooty money asking bitch not required.

Thanks

We have a bunch of those seats here, and they work great and provide plenty of safety as....lounge furniture in our waiting room. I would not drive a car with a set, as who knows how they will behave in a crash.

Well then, since this subject wrapped up quickly.

Can the rep from EVOMS share some wicked builds in the shop currently or is the rep not allowed to?

Rottec are local to us. Have looked at all of their products. Nicely finished, but as others have said, never tested and made in a place where things should be tested....

Would never put one in my own car, nor sell the seats to a client....

I figure they cost less than the competition? Way I see it, safety is priceless. You can get a brand new "proven and tested" manufacture aftermarket race seats for couple grand or less w the whole setup. Obviously you can spend more for lighter materials etc. injury to your body costs way more.

A storm is a'brewing for the new shop car. Some customer builds going on over the winter, and finishing up leftovers from last year. I'll try to put something together this week, stay tuned .
