I have a 997.2 GT3 non-RS with RSS tarmac suspension components and bump-steer kit. I can get about -2.5 degrees front before there is a bit of a clearance issue with the left front tire. My tires wear on the outside and I could get more grip and more tire life if I could get more negative camber. I only track the car, so would like to get -3 or so. What is the next mod I need? Thanks.

Yep, rotate the strut and add shims to the lower control arm. I'm at -3.5 front and my shop says there's room for plenty more if I want it.

i am sorry, your alignment buy isn't very good.
i know plenty shops doing plenty alignments on plenty porches. 90% of them suck. unless your car is hit, a stock GT3, you can EASILY get -3.5 camber. if your guy need to ask how to get it. you need a new shop.

Spinning the top mounts should get the result you need. To spin you need to remove the studs in the top mount and place in the opposite thread holes to offset the strut.

trying to get maximum camber also. resurrecting this thread for a few questions.

1) after rotating the strut, the front tire now hits the fender liner with my 7mm shim. should I remove or add shims to help this?

2) assuming i should add more shims, what is the maximum mm of shims that can be added? i'm running 7mm but would like ever more camber.

You have the caster pucks and rsr compression links too right? Fix the caster. I believe the stock picks have 2 holes in them you may need to use the second position.

I cannot use those aftermarket pieces as I compete in a specific scca stock class.

I'll certainly fix the caster. Maybe that will be enough to fix fender liner contact?

What is everyone running for shims? What is the maximum? What was stock? Thanks

You're hitting the fender liner in the front of the tire right?...that's because due to the geometry of the suspension setup on our cars when you add shims you increase caster and move the control arm to the front of the car.

So fixing the caster fixes the fender liner rub. Idk how much caster correction you'll get with the stock units but probably enough. it's going to be a bit of a guessing game with shims vs. caster correction since you're dealing with stock components.

I've got 16mm of shims in my car currently but I have aftermarket pucks that allowed me to correct caster more than the stock units.

I believe I remember reading comments about swapping control arms side to side for even more caster correction but I've never tried it myself.
