Default New PFC Compounds

Performance Friction has announced 3 new compounds 11, 12 and 13.
Here is a link to our website with the PFC description.

http://www.apexperformance.net/CartG...tionbrakes.asp

Here is the reader's digest description of each.
Compound 11 is the replacement for 01. Compound 12 is very similar to and may replace 08, and compound 13 basically is 01 on steroids.

Initially all pad shapes will be made in 11 compound. 08 compound will continue to be manufactured and 12 will be phased in. Currently there are not many pad shapes being made in 12 or 13. Have been told that Porsche is using all 3 of the new compounds on the Cup car.

We have quite a few of the pad shapes in stock in 11 compound.
If you any questions on what is available or what compound will work best for you.....give me a call. We stock most all Porsche and BMW applications.
Call me for special pricing. 866 505 2739

Hey Steve......I have 3 sets of your front pads in stock in 08 compound
P/N 7793.08.18.44 - $490 delivered. They currently have no plans of making this pad in either 08 or 12 ...I had to special order maybe 25 sets to get it made in 08.
They are making your fronts in 11 compound or 13 compound.
Your rears are P/N 0738. These are available in 01, 11 or I have maybe 6 sets of 06 left.
My personal suggestion would be to try both fronts and rears in 11 compound.
Any questions give me a call. 866 505 2739

Hi Clark...for the brake bias in my car I tend to like a grippier pad in the rear...something like Pagid Yellow front and Black rear.

What pad combo from PFC would be like this for my car?

I have GT3 6-piston fronts on 350 rotors ( Turbo set up) but stock Carrera S 4 piston rears on stock 330mm rotors. Would PFC08 front and PFC11 rear work? I'm a little scared of anything like the o1 which I tried for 1 track day and they complete ate up a set of rotors at Sebring. 08's where a lot easier on the rotors and actually felt better.

Mike,
I would use 08 up front and 11 in the rear. Compound 11 and Pagid black

both have tremendous inital bite. By the description of the 11 compound it appears they have worked to make it a little user friendlier than the 01.

All PFC applications are for steel rotors only. Their pads will fit your calipers
but you would need to replace your front rotors and hats to PFC 0378.32.0060.45
and.46 with the PFC hats 219.157.273.13. Rear you can go with the stock Porsche 997 turbo rotors.

Please call if you would like to discuss further. 866 505 2739

The 13 compound (01 on steroids)initally scares me also. I dubbed it 01 on steroids because it has more initial bite than the 01.They are not making many pad shapes in this compound.
Was told that Darrick Dong, Director of Motorsports for PFC, is running some 13 compound in his street M3. Will let you guys know what his analysis of this pad is when I get it.

The new 12 compound, a refinement of the 08 is not currently available. I am of the belief that the New 991 Cups are running mostly 12 compound.
One thing for sure, PFC should not have introduced 3 compounds
to turn around and say they are only going to make 1 for the time being.
Of the new compounds the 12 is the one most all will be interested in.
