I am pretty sure that the real owner of the car and the car are both in the Chicago area and was/is trying to sell the car...This eBay dude has "stolen" the pix and put up the ad!! Not sure why would anybody do this?!

he makes the sale, demands a tiny deposit ($500-$5000) and then vanishes. If you're foolish enough to bid on a GT2RS that costs $100k, then you're foolish enough to get conned out of the deposit.

Yup this is scam. The car is local to Chicago. I've seen it and talked to the owner a few times at local meetups.

Here's the Dupont registry ad of it being in IL, interesting...Looks like the ebay ad's a scam to me. Like mentioned by BBMGT3, anyone foolish enough to think they could buy a GT2RS for 100K is foolish enough to get scammed. Gonna report it to EBAY, hopefully they'll take the auction down. Has anyone reported the item as a scam to Ebay?

Absolutely a scam...

When I was shopping for my RS, I would see 2-3 per month like this. Steal pictures and set up fake ad. Many times the scam ad was directly below the "real" ad with same pictures !
