I hope so and fast. Lesson learned: buy more tires and keep stock of them.

I run Hoosier R6s, they do not have this problem. Yes, they cost more, but they don't have this problem.

Any updates on next Nitto 305 product run? I have 7HCs on current pair with another 7x tomorrow. Still look good, but need to keep a better reserve if they are so hard to get!

No updates. Maybe someone wants to be a Guinea pig and try the Nitto 305/35/18 555RII? Same treadwear and diameter as the NT01, just a shade wider. Plenty of those around. It's a road course tire designed for American cars. Wonder how the tire knows what car it's on?

Chalk up another NT01 user with the tread splitting issue. This is on one of my 275/40-18 tires in the rear of my spyder.

just to be clear i swapped left to right not flipped tire on rim. i did this based on a comment in this thread. guess it melted back together or something but tires were fine all weekend and it was 102 at the track and my car temp gauge said 112 while on track!!! yeah it was hot. ac required during cool down. gt3 ran great mot oil heat issues at all. bmws on the track had some challenges.

I reached out today to one of my old insider contacts at Nitto. May not get anything but figured it was worth a try. What do we think we could muster from a group buy perspective across RL? 50, 100 pair? Maybe we could work out a big group buy to entice them to make a lot more. If we could get Peter to run them, he might be able to do that many by himself

Thanks. This is exactly what I did. My last track day was counter clock wise, so the right side tires are more worn than the left. My next track day is counter clockwise as well, so I swapped sides. Hopefully my results will be the same as yours!

Exactly like the split in my 305s. Flipped it on the other side and the split gradually wore away..

I swap my wheels left to right at end of every track day. WOnder if this is why I have only seen one very minor split?
