Better read this article courtesy of Nizer from another thread :

Concentrate on the part about the shift cables ends and the flywheel tone ring, which got the timing off so the car wouldn't start.
I don't know if it's the same problem in your case, but I'm wondering why the car is not starting after being at the track.

Great article for lots of reasons, thanks neanicu.

My car is seized - won't turn over, vs. crank timing off in that article.

I'm trying to figure out what the gearbox noises you were hearing have to do with the engine not turning over.
Did you try using Durametric to see if you have any codes, like Camshaft Position Sensor or Crankshaft Position Sensor codes?
Did you by any chance over revved the engine while at the track?
Did you make sure your battery has enough power to turn the engine over? Cold cranking amps?
Did you try removing the airbox and spin the engine manually at the Crank pulley?
Do you only hear a clicking noise or the starter is actually trying to spin the engine? Or you don't hear any noise at all with the key on Start position?
Etc
Etc
Lots of scenarios...

No codes in the dash - I did not try a code reader. Car ran totally fine until it didn't start. I really did expect to be able to start it up and drive it away, the engine had zero issues.

Sounds like a destroyed clutch. Hopefully the tranny housing isn't damaged. Can you roll the car with the tranny in neutral? Also seen the intake part that fails cause a locked up engine.

Heh, well that would be an awesome coincidence (intake).

Car rolls fine in neutral.

If you end up having to drop the tranny try doing the shift cables ends and stronger/lighter flywheel like in the article I've posted.

Saw the intake problem happen just that way last year. Car came into the pits then stalled and wouldn't crank or turn over. Still I think it is your clutch that is the problem based on the Peter Principle. Always look at the most obvious 1st, RS clutches are a known failure item. Good Luck

After 2 days of Towing trying to get the car to the dealer, it's finally there.

I got the "We think you killed the clutch" call from the service adviser asking for permission for 12 hours of work to take the transmission out. Am I right to think that unless the clutch plates are severely worn that this is design defect? Gearing up for a potential throw down. Really wish I was in Dallas or Houston....
IIRC most of the RS clutch failures have been covered once and the clutch from the 4.0RS is the fix. Make sure they change the TO bearing also.

Right.
Ahould be goodwilled.

12 hours!? LOL
Installed should be about 3000.
Parts are $2500.

Replaced on mine a couple times, zero clutch wear.

Alright, happy to say they are taking care of it. Needs a new transmission (destroyed the bell housing), diff, starter, PP, (clutch was perfect). While the engine is out they are doing the intake recall, replacing cam actuators, and I hope some coolant fittings.
