PCCB conversion notes and PCCB for sale
#16
- someone could buy the rears if they had an accident and just needed a short term replacement - i think $250 each would be about right to the right buyer for the rears
- the fronts, I don't think those fronts look to be in as good condition as the 2 sets I bought
- my guess is $1000 each
- I would set my expectations at $2000 - but be ready for $1500 to unload it all
- at $1500 you would likely move them fast to a track head looking for a season of track use
having done this twice - $4500-$5000 seems to be about the price for a good condition but used for all 4 corners - but those rears are shot but could be used by a track ***** but they will quickly start eating pads and pads wearing 3x faster has to be factored it - and thus they are almost worthless

It depends on which TT. These are off a 997.2 Turbo S. We did a group buy and the part numbers for both the 997.2 GT3 and 997.2 TTS were the same. You are right that some TT PCCBs are different, but in the case of a 997.2 TTS, they are the same.
Thanks. This was my impression as well. Good to hear we are on the same page.

I am 99.99% sure that the offsets on the TURBO and GT3 PCCB rotors are different as I have done this same conversion on both a TT and a GT3. The uprights are different on the TT and GT3 due to the AWD TT system. Additionally I have crosschecked the part numbers in PET and they are as follows:
997.2 TTS PCCB front rotors:
997.351.031.33 and 997.351.032.33
(these are the rotors you have pictured as you can see the part # on them)
997.2 GT3 PCCB front rotors:
997.351.031.96 and 997.351.032.96
The rear PCCB rotors are the same on both cars
Hope that helps....

since i was the guy that bought them and the rears were in far, far, far better condition than those + I have bought another complete set i will give my guess

Joe, if all fails you can always help your friend make a CCB clock and sell them on ebay for $595 each. It's pretty and light weight, what not to like?

Can't speak for Brembo but Girodisc, for example, has different 380 rotors for the TT and GT3. The hat is the only difference with about 1.5mm difference in the offsets between the two.

Thanks. I guess more research needs to be done.

It's pretty easy. You can get some bare clock base and mount them on the CCB. I have bend rims, spare rotors, roll bar in my garage and suppose to be turn into some sort of art project ... just don't have time to do it all

So a little followup: My mistake, the part numbers on the brembo type III rotors for GT3 vs TTS are, in fact, DIFFERENT. For some reason PFC is the same, but at this point I think it's best to say that the GT3 and TTS front rotors are not compatible. Sorry about the confusion.

In November of 2013, I removed all PCCB from my 2011 911 Turbo S and went with a set of Brembo GT slotted steel and Brembo calipers. After bedding the (street/track compound) pads, I drove to California from Wyoming and was on track at Willow Springs. Although more brake pedal pressure is needed on the OEM brake cylinders (than with PCCB) the ability of the steel to manage the braking gives me a better "feel" than I had with PCCB (which always "bite" suddenly- compared to the steel). I plan to offer to sell the good PCCB front rotors for $1500 ea and the destroyed PCCB rears for $200 each (or hacksaw them into quarter-rotor bookends and sell them for $200/set)
