BTW, the best I could get out of Porsche was the senior customer care person and a form letter, I got the FTM's name but they would not allow me to speak/communicate with him after requesting it several times.

Needless to say my faith in Porsche to do the right thing is pretty low mainly because of months of run around and just plain poor customer support (everyone I spoke could never do anything to resolve any issue they simply restated a company line and they effectively refused to make anyone who could make a decision available or have any meaningful discussion).... and now they seem to recalling the exact part which failed. Go figure.
Here's hoping this recall gives you a new avenue to pursue action against PCNA.

Forgot to ask, does anyone know if any of the documented CL failures been on '11 cars?

Somebody refresh my memory. Were all the failures we have seen reported here 2010's?

Out of habit, I rarely agree with anyone, but I have to , just have to agree with VR on this one.

Perhaps, if I ask politely, they will give me the new bearings in kind and credit for the hubs that I had to purchase. I doubt it.

Cheers!

this is very interesting, and like everyone else I'm very anxious to see what Porsche is doing in this space. But more importantly I have the following questions:

a) why are they doing it?
b) are the 2010's the only one's seeing failures?
c) the maintenance schedule will be a welcome addition
d) do we believe 2011's are less susceptible to the failures this recall seeks to avoid?

I however doubt this will address the ongoing insane and complex wheel swap and subsequent simple 25,657,437 step process for "properly" torquing Porsche Center lock Wheel system.

details will be interesting…but I still feel this leaves more questions unanswered than answered.
