I wish
I think ruf's us distribution was on the right path with Ruf Dallas... Then that ended
Now who?
is it the guy in Michigan?
That is not confidence inspiring IMHO
I start thinking Ruf is not big enough to go full scale in the USA
His/their stuff is top notch
I just wish it was not virtually unobtanium in the USA
How does it not make sense for Ruf to open a 25k sq foot facility in the USA?
New cars, conversions, parts, tuning, used cars, "restorations", etc
Sort of like they had going with Ruf Dallas
If they want the big consumer money then step up to the plate in country

Like any business, they go where the money is and their focus has been on the middle east for a number of years now. I wouldn't be surprised to see a China expansion soon.
It's unfortunate for us, but the future of the world is no longer in North America and as such, companies will continue to focus their energies elsewhere.

I guess 200-250k euro...
+1. Do you go where all bridges are new, or do you go where the bridges are collapsing.. Just saying.
I believe you.
I've had RUF parts on all my 911 Turbos and even went for a ride in a CTR2 with Estonia behind the wheel. Love the family and Alois' cars.

yes and no
the engine is designed by somebody who spent his working life designing and building engines for Porsche, the workshop boss at Ruf is the father and mentor of one of Porsche's factory drivers, and both father and son have driven the car extensively. Several other significant Porsche people have spent seat time in the car.
Every time I've been in one, you have had to get me out by bribery. If the engine was ahead of the rear axle, I'd buy two, really.

I don't disagree that RUf, Porsche and other luxury brands are focusing their efforts on expanding in Asia, but I'm not sure bridge building is their forte. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-0...ling-down.html
The fact that RUF is unobtainum here also creates demand.

Santa I have been a very good boy this year. I'll take a yellow bird and a "black bird" or whichever one will fit down the chimney. Just please no center locks and fix the coolant hoses.

If they had solid NA presence, then demand would be even greater
Their stuff is fantastic and I would presume that some shy away because of perceived lack of Ruf support stateside
They should get back with RAC and ramp up IMHO
