Bob Woodman Tires has them....they are slightly less than MPSC's...around $300ish a set less I believe.

If I was trying these and had 9x19 and 12x19 wheels I would get the 245f 305r sizes for GT3 or Carrera S.

Not bad for "almost" R6 that you can drive to the track. I think they will be on my car for the next track day at ORP (about 150 miles) since towing my car isn't an option at this point.

16 HC out of a tire as sticky as a Hoosier that can be driven to the track? For me, this is good news.

I get no more than 20 HC from R888, and those Trofeo can handle another day, so they could easily last 20 HC as well.

Moreover, the camber is not right in your 997TT, all the outside edges have more wear than the inside edges, so with the correct camber, they could last 24 track sessions, or 24 HC, that's 6 track days.

IMHO, the tire is a winner !!!

There is not such thing as a tire that lasts 1,000 HC, and provides the grip of a Hoosier R6.

I'm getting a set ASAP for the Fiat, thanks.

Doc GTO, how would you describe your driving style on track? Your results are drastically different from my first hand experience with a TT driven hard. In my case, the outer shoulders got completely obliterated in a matter of 5 heat cycles in 1 day. Granted that particular TT had less than optimal camber, the wear was way above yours...

For a car like mine that see's 50/50 track and street I'd hat to go with more camber than -2.5f and -2r. The street drivability would not be good I would think.

Hopefully the R series of Trofeo will be out soon and the side wall will be a little more stiff..who even knows?

Frisby Race Tires or Bob Wooman. They are over $400 less then cups. About 200 more a set then R888s.

I'd like to say I'm smooth for the most part. I did start to use the AWD to help pull me out of the corners on day 2 so I could increase my exit speeds a bit to drop my lap times, which worked like a charm. Roebling Road does have a lot of high speed corners so the wear rate is a little higher then other tracks. I really think that if I had upped the pressures about 4psi it would have dropped the outer wear a bit.

I also have good camber specs and GMG springs & sway bars to reduce body roll.

Here is a 3 lap video on these tires at RRR:

Best bet is http://www.frisbyracetire.com/

When the newer Trofeo R comes out, that will be the ticket!!!

They make them in 19s, not 18s. The biggest you can go in 18 is 235 or 245 fronts and 295 rears.

Doc- fronts look as good as it gets for Trofeos. Rears are over inflated- **don't exceed 30psi hot** Camber is fine.

I am on my fifth set and have tried a range of alignments, with a rear pressure change you are good to go.

Swap side to side after two days can help even and maximize the wear. Four track days for an aggressive driver is as good as it gets.

Very try Randy. I did swap side to side after each day to equal the wear out.

So I need to run 30 F&R then? I'd figure with the extra weight of the turbo that a few more PSI would be good but you have way more experience with them. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah make 18" but nothing for a 997 based car. 19" they make GT3 and RS sizes.

Only thing (new tires) you can get in 18" for a 997 based car is Toyo R888 or Hoosier R6....or if you have access to the Randy stash.

If Doc is putting down 1:19 at Roebling I'd say he's fast....GT3 RS on better suspension does this same time or a second better with very good drivers that I know.
