As an FYI, I'm on my 5th set of P50s - and the front rotors are still good - probably have at least 2 more sets of P50s to go before the front rotors needs changed. My rears rotors went early after 3 sets - but this was on the inside and I blame 2 things for this - one, I didn't know about the pad wedging issue early on when using the OE
pads and the inner rears lost too much pad material and second, this was before fitting rear ducts to combat the excessive heat in the rear pads.

If the P50s were slightly softer - I'm sure they would be ideal. As it is, they give you about 40-80 DE days or your rotors. The potential range is very large as it is so dependent on tracks visited, braking style, etc.

The stock pads for me are good for 2-5 days. The P50s are 10-15 days. That's 5 sets of P50s for rotor life or 15 sets of OE pads. I bought a slightly used set of ceramics rotors for less than the price 10 sets pads - quite a bit less actually.

If I was going to do it all again I would go with 350mm irons - so I could use really cheap Cayenne $100 rotors off of Amazon.

But I have another 1 1/2 sets of used ceramics to use - and that's a lot of trackdays.

I read somewhere that how brakes are brought up to temperature affect how the ceramics wear. Something like if the rotors have a large temp. discrepancy between surface and core, it will wear disproportionately fast.
