$500 for 4.0 dive planes :)
Seriously Porsche??? $500 for two pieces of plastic that are taped on to your bumper?
http://www.suncoastparts.com/product//RS40DPS.html I'm sure you could come up with something slightly less pretty but just as functional for $20 at home depot :) |
Did I mentioned they were discounted from $700?
|
Maybe they want to discourage those with 3.8 RS from imitating the 4.0?
|
Can't wait to get them mounted. Probably a few hundred bucks to get the painted too!
But Doggie, you're not buying them anyway, so what are you worried about?? I do agree they are borderline poserisch, but me thinks downforce is good. |

I think it is silly to charge $135K for a 6 cylinder without any off the conveniences std that come in every Hyundai...
There are at least 2 3.8 with 4.0 dive plains in Florida :-). Both Gold od course. |

A 2010 GT3RS rear bumper cover is $1800, same for 2011 Cayenne Turbo is $350. The Cayenne bumper is twice as big. Brake ducts for $170 ea? The cheap ass plastic insert used with cars that have PCM-30 delete? $110  I have been doing a lot of thinking lately and the Porsche tax is really starting to get to me. It is truly egregious. Makes a Nissan GT-R at $10k over MSRP look like a bargain. And a reasonably driven GT-R will spank the ass of any 911 on the track unless the session is more than 40 minutes at which point the tires melt off the GT-R. Damn- don't get me started today :grr: |
At least find a active Porsche race shop and price out GT3 R dive planes from PMNA. They're a little bigger and I wouldn't be surprised if they're less.

That is exactly correct. Try and price out GT2RS unique parts for an example and your head will explode.

All those electronic gizmos interefere too much. If you could switch them all off then that's another story....:D |
You all know that you are not paying the bits, you are paying the R&D. And, a propos... those fit and were tested for the 4.0 RS and no other car. :)

$500 is the Freaking off the Dial and I can't believe that they are fixed with double sided tape??
Are they kidding?? How pissed would you be if one fell off or worse if someone pinched them??? |
