Default Sounds Fast

If it's a stock Boxter then you are much quicker than my buddy. If it's a modified Boxter then you're probably still fast. From what I've seen online 1:58 is pretty quick in most cars.

Haven't taken my 997.2 GT3 to Buttonwillow CW13 yet, however I've taken my S2000 and did a 1.57 on street tires and without aero mods. Don't have the 1.57 on video, but have my 1.59 lap from last year:

Not a 997 GT3, but I ran a 1:46.63 in a Stock Viper ACR-E on Hoosiers R7s in November, 2016.

Update:

Stock Everything: Stock 981 Cayman S on N0 Good Year Eagle Asymmetric 2s Tires, Stock Pads, Stock Power

Lap time on CW13 of 2:03. Virtual Best of 2:02. This was in 95+ temperatures. I think the car should be capable of 2:01-2:02 completely stock.

Friend in a stock car but on Sport Cup 2 tires was able to run a 1:58 in a 981 Cayman S.

The category of "street tire" really needs more specificity. R Comps are still DOT approved, and some other street tires are reported to provide just as much grip as R-Comps.

Such a sick lap, I need to trust the car more. I'm not maintaining enough speed through bus stop, slowing down too much on bus stop exit and not maintaining enough speed through riverside. I wonder how much time gets pulled down with a 2/3way suspension setup?

Here is a 996 GT3 that ran 1:51, mostly stock.

A 1:51.8 mostly stock 996 GT3? Really? Any idea what mostly stock means? Any idea on tires?

he lists it on his YouTube. I used to drive with him. Nice guy.

JRZ 3 Way & BFgoodrich R1S tire that’s like a Hoosier I believe. No tread really

Exactly, suspension and some hoho's. The tires are probably worth 2-4 secs. IMO

The level of driving precision to get a 996/7 around BW CW13 at sub 1:55 is . I don't think most people have an appreciation for it.

It's 996 GT3 street car with some suspension and rubber. Not race prepped, not a time attack car, not a cup car. Has a MT and no traction control .

Yeah that's awesome. I was hoping it would be on 200TW tires like the CRS/RE71RS but hey a 1:51.8 is still amazing.
