I vote next mod on this car should be cup mirrors from Getty design.

http://www.gettydesign.com/997_coach...tml#gt3fbumper

they would just top it right off.. what do you think bud??? just look at those mirrros calling you, taunting you.." J buy me, I will make your car look more like a cup buy me j buy me"

Wrap like this

I thought about the cup mirrors, but my car is more of a street car and i need the mirrors. Especially parking parallel, i need the electric mirrors to look down and see I'm not touching the curb.

Friends that own cup cars say the cup mirrors are useless. But they sure look simple, clean, and cool. Why didn't Porsche just have these mirrors in electric as standard?!?!?!

As far as the wrap....... U R getting warmer!!!!!

Some of you might not graphics, but I finally got the 3 stripes done on the car this past weekend.....

Logos are not on the car yet, but the car mostly done.

My friend Keith Vu and staff from www.savagewraps.com in Milpitas, CA did the custom striping.

A little about Keith:

Keith was a graphic artist and is now an award winning vinyl wrapper and was graduated from the FELLERS school of Vinyl Wrapping.

Process:
*Prepping by cleaning and stripping the cars wax.
*Remove all lights
*Find and measure where stripes should be and utilize striping tape
*Apply vinyl
*Cut the striping by hand
*And clean up all edges/corners

Here are a few pix:

And finally finished (4 AM Monday morning) - 2 full days to complete: Full 48 hours of working nonstop

And a couple of pix outside:

Well, my future plans are solely for track purposes: coolant pipe fix, RS flywheel and clutch, and maybe 996 cup shift cables. The one after that is to hire a pro coach so I can lower my lap times further

Seat time is the most important mod you can do, but it's more addictive than any other mod you've done previously

Yep..... on my last reply i said "Next on my mod list is number plate, HANS, and TRACK TIME!!!!!!!!"

If I do any other CAR mods it would be same as you.... cup car cables, RS flywheel and clutch. But the track is calling my name since the weather is getting warmer here in sunny CA!!!!!

www.savagewraps.com did an impressive job.
I have to admit, I would have said "no way" but the car has turned out well -- Porsche should have talked to you about stripes on the 4.0 RS ... : )

John,
Congrats, we cannot wait for you to come out with us to the track and have some fun with everything you have invested into the car.
Thanks again for working with us through the development of your car and we look forward to assisting you with the track time and development.
The car looks great, it just is begging for some track.
