I guess I'm okay with it, since it actually represent a saving compared to the regular one (if you spec out the same way).. ?!
Obviously, it is not "special", but if it is a way to save money, why not!

Wait... there's more:
Next week - White edition
Following week - Red edition
Following Week - Yellow edition
... and so on, and so on.
All 1911-limited editions.

If they needed new 911 ideas they should just do a bare bones, no option, lightweight C2S. "Track edition" or something. I think they would have no problem moving however many they decided to make.

+1 they are really shaking out the parts bin on the 997 ... funny they never did this with the end of 996 models ...
I guess this means that the 991 wont share too many parts with the 997!
+1 on the idea of a stripper 911 ... Carerra CS!

Rumor has it.. that with each black humor? edition car you get a free 1911 .45 pistol (in black) so that you can kill yourself for the mistake you did, buying this car only to realize that the 991 base model that’s around the corner will be better in every category.
But I, for one, don't believe it. : )

you dont believe the rumor or the fact that the 991 911 will be better than 997?
Dont think Porsche would give away a .45 ... despite the significance of the date of design! ... should be a 9mm Luger, Walther or 7.63mm Mauser ("broomhandle" schnellfeuer)?

Agree but remember 1911 more catchy for US market.. in Europe they just include a free fatally poisonous suicide pill, nobody has money for bullets not even 9mm : )

I still do not get why anyone would buy any of those when you can get a low low mileage 07/08 GT3 for less money.....I saw a white GTS the other day. Sorry all I can say is that it looks boring.....
