Default anybody else get a $1000 certificate from porsche???

I got one today. Basically a 1000 credit towards service at my dealer. Was sent as a thank you for my loyalty to Porsche. Only catch is it has to be used at once (spend all the money) and you can't carry a credit. Not sure why I got it and what the fine print will reveal....

Do you spend a lot of money at your dealer for service/parts or just a customer that has purchased multiple cars from them?

Just curious. Never heard of such a credit before!

Is this from PCNA or your dealer? Either way you must've made it to the VIP list

Hey DD, it was probably offered as a result of all the trouble and delays you endured with your coolant loss saga. Probably just them trying to right a bit of a wrong. Spend it and enjoy the free service... Hopefully it doesn't have a short expiry date...

Me too. I have a 993 that needs some work. I'll need about ten copies, please.

It came from PCNA. I'll call today and try to get to the bottom of it. I know they were going to make some sort of consideration due to the car being down for two months. I asked if they would extend my warranty and was told I would probably just get a check in the equivalent of two car payments. So I'm still not sure if this is it, or in addition to the check.

I'd like to know if it includes parts too. Would pay for a nice chunk of some new toyos

It expires in Dec 2011 so I have plenty of time to find a way to use it.

So what, a pair of jeans and two polo shirts - might have enough left over for a porsche design bread toaster?

It is common for PCNA to send cash back to brand loyal customers who had issues with a vehicle that resulted in a prolonged down time. I had a check 9 years ago for $2500 for troubles with a 996 Cab. and this year SantaCars of northamerica is putting some cash in my stocking as well...however it is not in the form of a dealer certificate.

When I had a lot of issues with my old 996 C4, Porsche gave me a free minor and major service. Those would've cost me roughly $1000. I had to complain a good amount to the regional PCNA rep (at the time living in Boston).

I think I still have his cell phone number somewhere I wonder if I can get a credit for all the problems with my new Turbo.......

So ya didn't win the PCNA raffle, was this a consolation prize? I know the grand prize was a GTS, (and cash) but the fine print didn't say anything about any coupons....

this should help with some of the pain you endured......expecially the next time you need 1000 dollars worth of service.....buy some aftermkt parts and have them install....
