Default Added Pics - Visited the Porsche Factory last Thurs. 8 GT2 RS's

I spent a few hours at the Factory last Thurs. as part of a Treffen Tour. Looked at 8 GT2 RS's. 4 White, 1 Red, 3 Black and 1 GT Silver. Ended up being a good day. The close up and personal viewing cemented my color choices. GT Silver with Black Wheels for me. Also Solid Black interior. I just can't get myself into the Res Two tone. Red headliner killed it for me.

Also visited TechArt. They had one of their GT2 Street RS cars on the floor and two more in back. Very, very nice and they should be at $300k EU. Satin White Paint was nice. The interiors are spectacular. Porsche could take a page out of TechArt's book as far as making colors work in a sports car. Subtle and classy, but still able to give the interior some pop.

Pics below are from the run through the Austrian Alps.
We ran tops down the whole time. 65 Degrees with snow in the ground.

Saw the same thing the week before.

I was drooling. GT2 RS is a sweet ride.

Treffen tours are great! I fondly remember mine.

Did you visit Weissach?

If your order isn't in by now, what makes you think you have a chance?

No pics allowed in the factory or delivery area. Camera's are locked up in a locker and cell phones in pockets. I took out my blackberry to answer and email and I was immediately told to put it away.

My order has been in since the 7th of Sept. Changes haven't been locked out yet, so I can still play with the config. I called my dealer as soon as I left the factory. He changed from Red to GT Silver while I was on the phone.

Treffen trips are awesome No, we did not go to Weissach. They no longer allow tours. Someone lifted a tarp and took a cell phone pic of some work for another car company. Porsche was pissed and shut down tours. But we did get a special treat that wasn't on the agenda. We visited the home of Wolfgang Porsche. He allowed us to view Ferdinands grave and also showed us his Sport Classic, number one.

Here are some pics of the visit to Wolfgang's house and the TechArt showroom.

Porsche may open up Weissach again once some of their "Top Secret" Projects are complete.
