Default Anyone interested in Sport Adaptive seats?

I am looking at maybe buying some GT2 seats but am testing the waters if anyone is interested in purchasing my black sport adaptives with alcantara inserts and crests. Only 6000 miles on my '07 GT3 and in great condition. I know a few people here are kind of doing the same thing so I know one boarder whom wants my GT2 seats if I don't bite.

Let me know at stuart at owlpest dot com.

Thanks,

Stu

Are they heated seats? If so, I'd be interested.

They are not. Just black with alcantara inserts and crests. Use the heat instead of heated seats!

you *might* want to hold onto these so if/when you come to resell the car you can reinstall them, when I recently sold my '07 I put my original seats back in (in order for the car to return to factory stock) and then re-sold the sports buckets separately!

Thumbs up

Adaptives are a huge improvement over the standard sport seats in terms of anchoring you in the seat, well worth the investment if you track the car but don't want to go aftermarket racing seats. They also really help with rear end fatigue if you do any longer distance driving.

I didn't realize that - are the bolsters deeper?

Functionally yes as you adjust them both thigh and lumbar/mid back area. I used to rub my left knee raw bracing myself against the speaker grill in turns. With the ***, the lap/shoulder belt keeps me firmly in the seat. I would not have believed it myself, but I'm sold on them.

I have them in my '10 ... I really like them ... they are somewhere between the sports and the sports buckets!

Interesting as I had the adaptives in my Cayman S and now have just the standard sport seats and I find ABSOLUTELY no difference at all. I am 5"10 170 so maybe it is size dependent but I find the sport seats to be no different than the adaptives.

I would agreee with your assessment. I had them in my .1 turbo and do not in my .2 gt3. It might be due to various body frames like you say. I am 5'8" 165. I could previously dial in lumber support (w/***) etc... but nothing that I now miss by any means. I was initially worried that the *** would not provide enough rake, and/or support but I don't feel I am missing anything; except 47 lbs., of course. I need to be 47 lbs lighter as I have a multi-million dollar racing contract you know!

What I really do like with the standard manual sport seats is the ability to push the seat back instantly before I exit. It keeps the wear and tear down on the left bolster. I know bling, bling, but whatever...

Are you thinking of the Sports Buckets here? There are "Sports Seats", "Adaptive Sports Seats" and the (GT2) "Sports Bucket Seats: ...

or am I confused ...

^ I could be confused I haven't a Heineken yet.

The standard sport seats are the standard seat (manual adjustment w/shoulder bolster) in a gt3. The A.S.S. are the adaptive -power- sport seats (as described above w/shoulder bolster) and there are the sport buckets (GT2, .2 RS optional .2 gt3).

There are also the power seats without shoulder bolsters (optional for Carreras, standard for turbos). Basically, there are four different seats, three of which (in the first paragraph) are available for the gt3.

I think we agree on the seat options.

Yeah, I just saw the confusing part in my post. I meant to say that I was worried about the standard seats not having enough rake. I'm going to get that Heineken now.
