Inconel alloy 625 is a nonmagnetic , corrosion - and oxidation-resistant, nickel-based alloy. Its outstanding strength and toughness in the temperature range cryogenic to 2000°F (1093°C) are derived primarily from the solid solution effects of the refractory metals, columbium and molybdenum, in a nickel-chromium matrix. The alloy has excellent fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance to chloride ions. The alloy resists scaling and oxidation at high temperatures.

the o2 sensors are a concern. Will the the computer understand it without cats for proper operation?
also, what DB rating? certain tracks will turn one away if too loud...
damn i love this system!

Fwiw I have a catless custom system an no check engine lights
Simply meaning that it can be done.
Tiny hole in exhaust and sensors run outside pipe on a welded on bung
911slow is right - inconel is overkill for most BUT it is awesome and I would guess that the reason it is not more widely used is cost of materials and fabrication would put retail price well over what the market would bear.
Now if your custom builder was able to get his hands on some penske racing inconel 625 bends and he owed you a favor... :-)

I'm not concerned about the cats...I only spoke about the O2 sensors. So yes it can be done, however these don't have a place for O2 sensors. And truthfully I'm not too keen on drilling holes into this system not to mention welding inconel.

My exhaust builder welded up a full inconel set up and it looks good so welding is not that much different

System can be modified to any way! after header one can make a custom exhaust or even run cats instead of mufflers.... Inconel is very easy to weld. Porsche has not made a new set of headers since 2008, the design on these are being used today on the current GT and RSR's
