Almost 20 whp sae, would be amazing from something like that K&N kit. Thanks for the info Silverboy.

PJS996GT3, is there a way you can obtain and post the dyno result of the K&N kit your tech tested on that other Mk1 RS?

Here's a dyno sheet from K&N's website

Didn't MythBusters debunk the air-filter thing?

The advantage of an of the "oil film suspended in foam" filters is the quality of the air filtration, not the claims of peak HP gains under ideal conditions.

I think PJS996GT3 is the best to verify the claimed gains as he saw a third party RS.1 dyno sheet.

FVD says you need software for the full gain...

Yes - that would be the plan I guess. Thanks!

I will see what I can get from him...
In any event, I will be baseline testing my stock for now car and will follow up with the K&N kit dyno -- all in the next couple of weeks...

like the sheet that kn displays... the big gains are high in the rev range and sport button on makes a difference..

for $300 give or take... it is a no brainer... IMHO

Exactly. It's not bad even if the gains are 15BHP due to the price.
