Default GT2 RS

I was told the news, that the 2RS will be launched this autumn. Power output apparently at 630 HP. No more info available at this point. Anyone knows more?

Think nitro.

Where do they find 630 hp w/o blowing the engine? Guess how much insurance going to cost?

Remember, the Turbo now uses the new Carrera-based DFI motor. Apparently it is quite robust...

...and since the Turbo has PDK, it is definitely possible...

I thought the head of GT car production stated that there would be no PDK option in any of the GT cars for the forseeable future... esp RS models

will the GT2 have the TT engine, or still be based on the Gt-1 block I wonder?

Good question. Little reason to suppose the GT2RS will be the car to switch to the new engine and get PDK. Sooner or later, sure, and hell, it will be an astonishing beast. I haven't heard anyone confirming this 630 number ... I would have assumed incrementally more than the Turbo S, so maybe 580? If they're up into 630 range, maybe it will have to be the DI engine to justify the R&D as well as dealing with street engine reliability, noise, emissions (and open the door to a PDK variant ... putting the heavier tranny in the "lightweight" version doesn't add up, either.)
