I can't go out cause of a crappy cough I'm fighting off... and it's cold and icy outside.

The GT3 is tucked into the garage all cosy... anything I can do to get my GT3 fix?

Any suggestions in-garage fun? Maybe tweaks to the car, PCM, adjust seats, ANYTHING!!!??? HELP!

Even the wife is fed up of me and wished I could be out driving the car!

Well it's -10 C here in the land of beer and brats with about an inch of snow on the ground. My two Ducatis and 1150 GS are tucked in until spring. Fortunately it will take a nuclear winter to stop my 110 LR Defender from getting me to and from the hospital on the forefront of the global war on terrorism.

Haku, I feel your pain! You get a new GT3 and then the season comes to an end. Mine has been in the shop for several weeks getting some work done for the next season. So, at least you can go out and touch yours, sit in it, talk to it.....

One engineer at an OPC suggested that if conditions are such that you can't get the car out of the garage during the winter, it's a good idea to start the engine and run it at a varying fast idle for 10-15mins to get the oil up to temperature, fluids circulating and a chance for the alternator to give the battery a quick boost - particularly if the temperature is approaching freezing...

...and even if you can't get the car out of the garage, it's always great to hear the sound of that engine!

I had shoulder surgery yesterday so I have been on the couch all day reading Evo, watching DTM, BTCC, F1 re-runs, and Truth in 24. Not sure if it is helping but it does pass the time!

It's an 09 with the 2.4 TDI motor. It's a much better force protection vehicle than a Hummer or Explorer. Just 24 more years and I can bring it back to the great state of Texas.

Bob, I hope the surgery went well and that your recovery is tiptop. Yep, tried reading a few car mags and watch TV... everytime I switched on to something nice the show was about to end... arrghhh!
