It's a hell of a car - just severly overpriced so as to not stomp on Lamborghini toes.

The boys over on the R8 board are none too happy about the legendary Audi dealership knowledge & HUGE premium for 2 extra cylinders:

The local dealer was asking 50k over 2 months ago with one R8 in stock. They now have 4 on the lot, no markup. I guess the novelty has worn off in this economy...

I drove one the other day (and posted a review on the 997 board). It was a great car, but certainly "not all that and a bag o' chips."
