They will all depreciate...but the GT3 and GT3 RS won't be near 55% in three years. Look at 2005 996GT3 values...if you can find a decent one for $55,000, let me know.
The GT2, on the other hand, has a huge premium built in. I predict that will go away just like it did on the 996GT2, bringing it close to 55% for a wholesale price for a 30k+ example in three years.

Here are two examples of *promised* limited production. Ferrari produced ~1000 more F40s than the ~300 that were promised. The Enzo went from a "promise" of 349 to 399 and then a little bit higher. I also consider the Maserati MC12 as part of that higher number since it is basically the same car.

BUT...if Porsche does come out with an MKII RS as a 2010/11 model, then that will definetely have an impact on the current RS. But if Porsche screws it up by making PSM standard, and adds more weight again to the car, while only raising hp to 440 hp, then it might not be so bad. And if they make PDK standard (which I highly doubt), then the MKI would go up in value. Adding a sunroof would also only help the MKI's.
But if they do it right and only add a fully defeatable PSM and keep the weight the same and make PDK an option, then the MKI's will definetely drop. And finally, how many of the MKII's will they build? 300, 500, 700, 1000?
I don't think that the minor facelift will have much if any impact on the current car since it is so perfect right now. Maybe the new 993 style mirrorw will be popular, but if it is still a 997, then I would not be surprised if you could swap your current 997 mirrors for a set of the new ones. I personally like the ones on the right now since the are sleeker than the 993 look ones; I just don't see the attraction. I love the look of the 993, but they don't need to try to copy everything and try to recreate it with the new body and size of the car.
