They are also coming out with an Orange Boxster in 08.

Orange in particular is an historic Porsche colour, used on some famous race and rally cars I had a 1976 Carrera 3.0 in orange, and if circumstances improve somewhat, will be on the lookout for a GT3 RS in the same colour.

Flattering or not, the colours are striking and have an historic connection to Porsche's competition heritage.

I met a fellow at the 'ring who had a 996 GT3 painted to order in the plum colour that was found on the 964RS.

I think orange is hot, and I think the GT3 will wear it even better than the RS.

You know, I was all about black or silver becaue I thought a loud color attracts cops.

But when it came time to get a real fast car like the Turbo, I simply had to do yellow. Cars like these need to have a loud color to go with it. Like the fact that a silver F car just doesn't quite do it.

Now that I have had yellow cars since 2003, I can tell you that this simply aint true in CA. It's the jackass driving that gets you pulled over, not loud color.

In conclusion, if the GT3 can be had without a sunroof, I for sure would pay for the orange, or the green (wife loves the green).

I think its awesome that they are offering this, those colors are stunning, although it was very "special" that only the RS came in them.. I personally would get a Orange or Green GT3 in a second, well Cobalt Blue is my #1 still!! hah
