It turns your rear window into a disposable item, along with tyres, brake pads, rotors, wheel rims...... it gets scratched.

when i can feel the difference in lap time by saving 4.4 lbs, i'll be racing in F1 for ferrari

of course, if i would just replace gatorade with metamucil and take a dump before i get on the track, i think i would have taken care of that 5 lbs.

Not worth it. Did it on the GT2 but I won't do it again.

Weight savings is minimal, do you gain a better sond inside the car less isolated?

Agreed. With simple care, the plastic is fine. Even the side quarter vent windows in the Cup cars stay in pretty good shape (just don't blast them with water on a hot day when they're covered in grime.)
As for weight saving, 4lbs, maybe after everything else is done. I imagine the electric window motors are 4lbs ... changing to pull strap with a flat door liner would be more fun ...

There are so many easier ways to loose weight, why bother with the window. If you are looking for more sound and want to loose significant weight, call Jeremy at Fabspeed and ask for the exhaust he is making for me.

Mitch, stop screwing with your car. If you don't leave it stock, and suddenly kick my ***, I will have to go out and mod mine, then you mod yours, I mod mine etc etc etc. I've already been down that road with Wayne Kehm, it was like USA against the USSR. Just waisting money trying to beat one guy !!!!. I call for no more mods in GT3's that run in supersolo
