Default oil pressure seems high

Picked up my car yesterday and on the ride home the oil pressure gauge read 5 anywhere above 2500 rpm. I called the dealer and they said this was OK

Should I be concerned? Has anyone else had this happen when they first got it?

What weight oil are you using? What was your outside ambient temperature during this? How long was the car running?

I am using the oil that was put in at the factory. The car had 7 miles when I picked it up. Outside temp was 80. Engine oil temp was 200. I was cruising on the highway in 6th at 80mph 3,000 rpm oil pressure at 5.

Now that I realized I'm on the GT2/GT3 thread, I really don't know what these engines should read as far as oil pressure. On other forums, the oil pressure should peg at 5 when cold, but then lessen as the engine oil gets hotter. Not sure about your engine.
