The web site said it's the first GT3 RS in China (but the license plate says Hong Kong), and thought it was the first time it was driven on the track when it crashed.

Isn't it strange how, in the Carrera GT and the 997, the passenger air-bag breaks the windscreen (aka windshield.)

You're assuming that the passenger wore his seat belt.

Unfortunate at best, but it seems the Orange cars are are the twitchiest, I'm gonna stay withe the safe white car.

IT was only a matter of time till someone wrote one of them off on a race track. I am sure more of them will see the same demise. Lets face facts, it's the nature of the beast anytime you take a fast car on to a race track.

Sure, it's an assumption, but I've also seen the dent a head leaves in safety glass ... quite different. :|

Yeah, my 944 Turbo S had the passenger airbag break the windshield like that too (no passenger in the car at the time)...

Now that takes some doing. The 997GT3RS is the easiest car to track out of all of the 911 varients that I have driven. Far easier than the 996 version. I hope that the driver was ok.
