Default What works best to remove rubber marks from DE events?

I found a thread on this exact subject, but the information is 4 years old.
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...s+track+events

Any updates to this question:

"What do people use to easily/safely remove the marks left on the car from flying track rubber?"

Thanks,
Greg

3M adhesive remover. comes in a flat metal can.
no rubbing needed.
but it will take off wax. so after you are done, re-apply some wax on affected areas.

turle wax spray on cleaner wax works great and puts a wax back on the finish. not a replacement for a good regular wax but does the trick in between. Black tire marks come off with a little rubbing.

If you have a clear bra on the front Plexus works well to clean the film of the rubber marks.

there is a great product to put on before you go out...it is called REJEX like a polymer it is great great for the whole car dirt grime basically rinses off rubber alsmost washes off.

but a bug and tar remover works really well also... use pump type not the areosaol

"Miracle Wash", takes out the rubber marks easily and leaves a nice shine too. I used different things before but after trying "Miracle Wash" once, I was all sold, IMO the best for this.

You should strongly consider using a clay bar treatment after each track day. You get alot of brake dust stuck in the clear that these chemical cleaners mentioned will not remove that the clay will take out....and the clay will get the rubber marks off as well.

Not that the chemicals already mentioned will hurt anything to remove the rubber marks..they simply won't get the contaminents out of the paint so you're only addressing part of the problem.

Andy, if I had to clay bar after every event I think I would stop tracking

Maybe for the "couple DE's a year" type of person, but for the track ****** on this board there is NO way that clay bar treatment after every event is something that is going to happen.

If I do not have a clear bra, does Plexus not work?

Plexus is a cleaner and polish for PLASTIC. If you do not have a clear bra just use the other products mentioned on the paint.
