I've had a $500 deposit for quite a while. I got the RS allocation - the ONE slot the received. I was the first there, but not exactly sure when it was.

I was #1 on the list without even knowing it, without a deposit. My dealer put my name on it and then told me when I walked in the showroom one day, 2 weeks later.

This is a dealer for life.............

I will visit him tonight and turn in my final spec for a Jan. build!!

seems ridiculous to me, as the car will sell easily if i ever decide to back out, regardless of how i optioned the car, no?

Granted it is "just" a GT3...

But dealer is asking for $9k - on top of $1k original - at order confirmation.

That Dealership is probably trying to spring a car free, so they can go their usual route and sell it for market value.

To want $20K from a known and valued customer, like you, is poor business.

You know what I think of them and their practices, I learned the hard way too.

Now an additional $14,000, though they said they were getting 25,000 down from others. The dealer said, it was just to weed out the fakers because they have so many major customers who would like the car but can't get one. He said, anyone who has trouble coming up with 20K, probably can't afford the car.

I sent the second check.

How did you get an order for white with other options (graphics, black wheels, mirrors etc), they did not show up in the computer when I ordered?

YES please tell us. I am about to go back to orange as I feel raped on the white one since it cannot come with black wheels or striping. $4K+ option with silver wheels and no stripes?? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put $2500 down in May and it wasn't soon enough. My dealer has not even contacted me to let me know. I will not do business with Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro N.C. The Porsche sales manager promissed me a car.
