Are there different versions of PCM 3.0?
 

My 997.2 GT3 2010 has a bit different looking PCM. It's less functional than the normal PCM 3.0 - no touch screen, inferior graphics, etc. Looks like GT3 RSs have same PCM as mine, but I haven't seen any other 997.2 GT3s with this PCM. Wonder if there were different types of PCM 3.0s?

Your Radio is the CDR-30 and not a PCM 3.0.

Correct, you've just got the standard radio.

My CDR-30 is grey and white. Are there different kinds of CDR-30?

997.1 vs 997.2. 1's had the gray and .2's had the black

Thanks. Then what's the benefit of CDR other than it being cheaper? Maybe lighter?

Absolutely nothing. Harder to use, sound quality is subpar but it's not that much better with a PCM either. Radio delete if you're hardcore or a PCM with an CarPlay board modification.
