Weather forecast calls for clear skies on Sunday Hope you can make it. Plus if you take the "long way" via the Caldecott and Hwy 24 you can get some nice sound clips

Alex, would've loved to go again but I'm already heading to an auto-x that day. Maybe in Dec.

The white cars and the 997 definitely owned this GTG . Thanks for coming out everyone and thanks for adding some color to the mix DANIEL.

Matty awesome to see a .1 RS used as intended.

we’ve been discussing going for a drive immediately following the GTG. Stay tuned for updates.

hope to see you all out there next time.

Three of my favorite colors! Would be great to get the back end comparison of the .1 GT3 and the RS. Maybe next time.

That looks like a blast. Seeing the amazing CA weather makes me even more anxious for spring. Although, I really shouldn't complain as all we really face are a few bits of snow and a lot of rain up here in Vancouver, as opposed to full-blown winter elsewhere.

The date for the last GT-car-focused get-together of 2023 is coming up and I am switching things up a bit.
.
  • Date: moving the get together to SATURDAY December 16th, instead of Sunday December 17th because the weather is forecast to be sunny on Saturday but rainy on Sunday
  • Time: 9am until ~10:30am
  • Location (CHANGED FROM WHERE WE NORMALLY MEET): Blackhawk Plaza in Danville (address: 3380 Blackhawk Plaza Cir, Danville, CA 94506) because Saturday conflicts with the San Ramon Farmer's Market held at our usual location at Bishop Ranch City Center in San Ramon. Meet at the eastern side of the Plaza, which is best accessed from Camino Tassajara
  • Drive: at the last get together we discussed the idea of a drive following the get-together. If people want to head out for a drive afterward that is an option.

Hope to see you all there on Saturday.

/alex

Awesome seeing some great GT cars this past Saturday! Serendipitously the original owner of a Sapphire Blue 997.2 GT3 was reunited with its current owner at the get-together. Enjoy the pictures and I hope to see people for the next one on the 21st of January.

I didn't even think Sapphire, as a color, was even developed back in the 2009 / 2010 timeframe of the 997.2's. Most of our 997.2's are Aqua Blue Metallic.

I'm curious,... was Sapphire a PTS back then?

Thanks for setting it up Alex, my car shows up as Aqua Blue on VIN analytics so I'm pretty sure it's not a PTS car. It was pretty special meeting the original owner. Wish I took some pics but I think Dave has a few. Wish I could've stayed longer but I was threading the needle between waking up late and doing house work. I'll try and make it to the one in Jan.
