Default Wrap Questions and Front Splitter

I have an 07 997.1 RS. (Black / Orange) 25k on the clock. It has a Clear Bra on the bumper, hood, and fenders that is probably 13+ yrs old. It's looking tired likely due to age and technology of the material from when it was originally done. I'm having it removed, paint corrected, and the entire car done in XPEL w/ Ceramic coating. Any suggestions on what else to have done while they are doing the service? One thought I had was to have an additional piece put over the wrap on the quarters like the factory to offer more protection there...
Also I wanted to put on a new factory front splitter. Any suggestions on where to get one? Suncoast was my first thought but not sure?...

Thanks

I would have them remove the factory protection on the front of the rear fenders and install something new and bigger. Maybe also do behind the rear wheel.

You can get front spoiler from Rhonda at FVD. Best deal out there, I think.

To the OP, in my opinion a single layer of PPF across the car is good enough, no need for PPF on top of PPF. A gratuitous pic of my car after Xpel and ceramic treatment.

Suncoast is good for the splitter and reasonable on shipping as well.

Part numbers for front spoiler below:

RS extension piece: 99750599690
RS lip: 99750598399

In my experience, Suncoast does not have the lowest price, hence why they don't list part numbers online. They're a great resource and I buy things from them, but you can typically find things cheaper elsewhere.

Example:
https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...7RSLIPKIT.html
$949

https://www.delawareporscheparts.com...we-99750599690
https://www.delawareporscheparts.com...er-99750598399
$740.15

A $200 savings by going elsewhere.

You also could support one of our forum vendors https://www.getporschesilverspringparts.com and see if they'll price match for you.

Suncoast and Sunset Porsche used to have best pricing. Either can get you the parts.

Also agree that doubling up the PPF on the rear wheel arch would be overkill. Looks cleaner without it too. My $0.02.

As for Xpel, I did:

- entire front bumper
- front hood
- front fenders
- window pillars
- headlights
- front marker lights
- door edges
- door latch pockets
- rear stone guards (replaced old ones)
- rockers (wrapped to upper inner edge and once piece to the stone guards)
- rear bumper behind the rear wheels along the side of the bumper to the rear of the car
- roof (I have a sunroof delete so that was easy)

The idea is to try to catch the rocks thrown by the wheels as well, do there is protection behind the front and rear wheels. I also know of other owners who just do their entire car front to back - no scratching during washing ever! All of it was topped by a ceramic coat.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks Guys..

I like some of the ideas here. I'm going to get the entire car done, including ceramic coating. Dropping it off tomorrow.
