Yes it will work on a G50 box. I use the 997RSR 5.5" carbon Tillton. Works great. The 997Cup uses a Sachs 5.5" with metal discs instead of Carbon. I would not use any of the 5.5" clutches on a street car. It's a race clutch.

Are the crank pulleys interchangeable between the 3.6, 3.8 and 4.0?

Better clutch pedal feel, easier modulation, and a much more lively rev.

If you think the flywheel chatter at idle will bother you then I would look into that. Personally, I dont mind it in the slightest.
Not sure if anyone can add to this … 3rd owner of my 2007 997.1 GT3 RS, former owners lots of track use PCA instructors … my car used to have the flywheel chatter at idle and cool sounds … I now have installed from Sharkwerks the 4.0RS clutch and flywheel kit … no more chatter or sounds … clutch pedal is lighter and smooth (before was heavy) … was hoping this upgrade would be more raw and challenging but seems more refined (not what I wanted)

CAN ANYONE COMMENT?? Much appreciated

100% worth doing. I have it in mine and it transformed the car.

I cannot speak for the lack of chatter, but I will say mines pretty quiet until it’s fully up to temp.

Also, the pedal feel and throw changed for me when I did all the 4.0 stuff as well. I felt the same as you initially and sort of missed the heavy clutch. But after some time in the car and driving other GT3s- it’s not only much smoother and more comfortable- but also I’ve found it gives you more feedback than the super heavy clutch.

I have a .1RS with stock parts. My friend also has .1RS and recently did the 4.0 clutch/flywheel kit.

His clutch feels lighter ....I like the stiffer feel of my clutch. As far as revving quicker ...I really didn't notice much of a difference. I won't be changing mine.

The 4.0 pressure plate is bolted, not riveted. That's a definite upgrade as it gives it more burst resistance at high rpms. The 4.0 sprung clutch disc is a slightly different design and has replaced the 3.8 part.

If the engine is out, I would swap it out personally but that's an individual decision. I would also install the 7.2GT3 crank pulley.

what does “more burst resistance at high rpms” mean? Much appreciated

Because it's bolted, not riveted. Rivets are the weak point.

I had the riveted pressureplate.
I was experiencing that after 2-3 laps on nordschliefe it was "Hard" to get gear in, in the higher rpms.
let car cool down and no problem for 2-3 laps.
i changed to 4.0 flywheel and bolted pressure plate and now no problem at all.
I had read here on the forum that someone expienced the same. Super nice forum for picking up info for solutions.

That may have been me I had been running the 764 set up for years and when the car was hot it would be really difficult to get into first gear and reverse and sticky in all changes, I tried all sorts and changed virtually the whole clutch mechanism but no difference....thanks to Powdrhound I put in the 487 PP and presto slick changes everywhere at any temperature, pic below showing the differences,
