GT3 exposed exhaust/muffler
i know this is a 996 and not a gt3, but this has my head swirling with ideas (on my 997S)
is anyone running a rear bumper that exposes the muffler? https://i.ibb.co/5xV1Xp3/Capture2.jpg https://i.ibb.co/644B2XD/Capture.jpg |
My question is, why? Unless it’s a Singer or old outlaw 911

Looks like a loaded diaper

I couldn't run the canyons with something that low and far back. Looks would improve with less showing.

I mean if you had some purple disco titanium bling pipes back there, then sure it would get attention similar to the lambo/mclaren/ferrari setups.
With the stock giganto-center muffler it seems a bit odd. |
No

I recommend against that.
But I’m sure you could do it if you’re willing to do a GT3 center muffler conversion and modify a factory bumper. |

It seems the GT3 center muffler may be sitting lower than usual. It's also an optical illusion brought on by the fact the car is utilizing a modified/cut out rear bumper in order to accommodate the 997 GT3 center muffler.
Notice the distance from the bottom of the license plate to the edge of the bumper, and removed bumperettes. |

I’m right there with you. Let’s see bumper delete

Terrible for a street car.
