Default Anyone know this car? (White/red 997.2 RS)

Anyone know this car or have any info on it?
it appears bonnet has been resprayed from paint meter measurements and DME shows only 69 ignitions in Range 1.
Has “clubsport package” but otherwise they say it is stock. Comes with 2 year CPO.
I am considering it, but I’m not local.

Any knowledge of the vehicle would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Default I might know

This car might be a Rennlist member from the NE area, his IG is GT3suds and he is selling his exact spec GT3RS.

Car is clean and the previous owner is from a collector.

Nice looking car. Since we didn't get Clubsport Package in the USA, presumably it's a euphemism for "tracked" given it has all bits one would need. I can assure you, which you probably know, that tracking these cars doesn't diminish them at all. I think mine got like 80 track days before she got retired from that duty. With 24k on it, the car feels new still. Good luck...you will love a 997.2 RS if you do it.

I had a 997.2 RS for almost 5 years. Sold it when the engine was replaced for cam bolt failure.

Oh wow, was it done under warranty or did you have to pay out of pocket to get the replacement done?

Btw, nice looking car, I have the almost twin of this car sans leather stitching, roll bar. Hope you scoop this up and enjoy the hell out of it!

Not sure. Enjoying my current RS and manual GT3. I’m not sure if the old car will be more fun than the new car...

I edited my initial post. The bonnet HAS been resprayed from paint meter numbers. I typed it wrong.

Where are you seeing the paint meter numbers? What's the variation between the numbers?

I had the dealer send them to me. The say the car is around 4.5-5 and the bonnet is 6-7.

In that case it probably has been repainted as PPF would be quite a large increase in paint readings. Probably not a dealer breaker if it was repainted for chips only.

Don’t know truly why the bonnet was repainted.
The paintwork and the number of owners bother me...especially at that price. I think I will pass.

Can't you look under the hood to see if the options sticker is there to tell if it's the original hood or not? If it's the original hood then I'm sure it was just a cosmetic repaint.

I don’t think all cars had the sticker under the hood unfortunately.
