2009 997.1 GT2 - Harness Bar Mounting Question
I am trying to see if the rear "seat" tubs are drilled, lugged/threaded for seat belts. If yes, I can mount the BK harness bar I want. Yes I can pull up the carpet to look, but that's a bit of a pain and I'd like to see if there is an answer first. I have the Bose deck so the two BK products that mount to the shock towers won't work.
If anyone has a B-Pillar shoulder belt mount option I'd go that rout, but I think the Sparco one is discontinued for the 996/997.

I have a Brey Kraus Bose Harness bar and am local. If you find out of it works I'll give you a deal.

Thanks to both replies. I'm talking with Porsche Germany now to try to get info. While 997 GT2's are rare, I find it hard to believe that no one on this forum has put in any of the harness bars that bolt into the rear seat belt mounts (BK, Porsche Tequipment, etc.). Unfortunately I can't just pull up the carpet myself as I'm not with the vehicle.

Is there a reason you don't want to just go for it and put a roll bar in? I have one mounted to the rear shock towers and since the car doesn't have rear seats
it's worth wild for the added safety.

@ Hella-buggin' - With the Bose System (bass deck) you can't use the shock tower options. There is the Porsche Tequipment I would gladly use, but it bolts into the chassis at the same rear points as the BK options, where the seat belts would be. https://www.fvd.net/us-en/FVD5809840...otorsport.html
I don't need a clubsport or full cage for the GT2. Without devolving this chain like others in the forum, I'm interested in harness support and safety with my HANS, and not too concerned with roll-over protection given the mild track use and spirited back-roads driving for the vehicle in the US. For my car at the Ring, Spa, etc.,with much higher speeds, I want both, hence the clubsport cage.

Understood. BBi makes one that works with Bose btw.
I used my BK harness bar for a few DE's a year in my C2S so I could still use the rear seats
with the kids. Swapping in the bar and a track seat is easy.

Sold cause in ‘11 to upgrade to 2RS.
