Well done!!
Question: Do you find the front dive planes to be a good aero match to the RS wing? |

What do you mean by good match? Cosmetically, or actual on track performance?

I love my cup fenders. Totally changed the look of the car. |
Here's mine, in .1 and .2 phase.

Doing the fender/flare work is one thing, after the work is done if no change is made to the front ride height then the car will look weird with a big gap above the OEM size tire since the Cup flares raises the "lip line" pretty significantly(over one inch). So you'd lower the front ride height like 8-10mm just to reduce that gap and make the car look more pleasing, but the lowering the front that much the camber, toe, caster needs to be reset(not recommended with OEM shocks for advanced level track use), not to mention that the rear ride height now needs to be lower to be proportionate to the front otherwise the handling of the car will be loose. Another thing is lowering the rear to be relative to the front height may cause tire rub which then the rear fenders need to be rolled. There may be some ramification to the suspension geometry on road car at the lowered height, Cup cars have different wheel carriers and subframes for this. Bottom line, unless the car is intended to only be a show car, the subsequent work needs to involve a suspension setup shop. I still thinks its one of the best mods I did on my car. Absolutely no regret. The RS road car fender flares is a milder approach compared to the Cup fender flares. Usually not ride height change is necessary for the car to look sharp with RS road car fender flares. Here's more photos of my conversion in this thread(in post # 837 and # 842)- https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...07-gt3-56.html |
Anyone has any insights to whether or not the fender liners had to be changed as well? If so where did you get these parts and what are the part numbers?
Thanks! |

Do the cup fenders have the flare built in? Or do they have to be cut to add the flares also?
