Default Sway Bars

Looking at picking up a GT2 rear bar and was wondering if there are any differences between:

997.1 GT2 and 997.2 GT2 RS Bars?

I've searched Sonnen and these parts come up. Wondering if anyone knows what the differences are?

997.2 RS BAR:

997.1 GT2 BAR:

The 997.2 bar is thicker and therefore stiffer Han the 997.1 bar. After reading your post fully not sure what the difference between the RS and GT2 bar is as Believed they should be the same.

I've been reading and they appear to be the same bar as mentioned from others on the internet. However, they have different part numbers.

I'm going to call Sonnen tomorrow and see what the difference is. I'll also order one tomorrow along with corresponding brackets and bushings and report back.

You will find that while the 997 GT2 and 997.2 GT3/RS Rear Sway bars may have different part numbers, they are effectively the same and have a 25.6 mm diameter. Note that the front swaybar on a 997.2 GT3/RS Is also 25.6 mm in diameter.

These bars are great upgrades for 997.1 GT3/RS'.

No progress yet as I'm with my son who is out of camp for the week. I'm working on it though.

guessing he GT2 rear sway bar is thicker than the GT3RS bar (just guessing since there's more going on back there, and weight, in the GT2)
